Hi! I'm Savannah Faere, a Registered Counsellor offering online therapy to clients worldwide.

It's likely that you're here because you're navigating some challenges that are difficult to understand on your own. And that's okay! It is in connection with others that we receive the support required to process and heal.

The thought of starting therapy can feel a little uncomfortable at first, especially if you're not sure what to expect. My counselling sessions are a compassionate, supportive space for you to understand yourself at a deeper level and create meaningful change in your world.

My approach

use an integrative approach that honours the interconnection between mind, body and soul. Our sessions together are a combination of trauma-informed counselling and somatic therapy. Counselling provides the framework to explore and understand your thoughts, feelings and beliefs. My work places a strong focus on attachment and how your childhood experiences have shaped your sense of self - the relationship within - which impacts every other relationship in your life. By understanding how your past experiences are creating patterns in the present, you are empowered to create meaningful change.

We take this a layer deeper using a body-based approach. In somatic therapy, we recognise how unprocessed emotions, stress and trauma can become "stuck" within the body. The effects of attachment trauma are largely subconscious, meaning that the body remembers what the mind cannot. By incorporating mind-body awareness, we are able to gently uncover and process the emotional wounds of the past - moving towards new ways of relating with ourselves and others.

The connection between client and practitioner is one of the most important elements in therapy, so I prioritize creating a space for openness, trust and safety as the foundation of our work together.

Qualifications and training

have been on my own journey of personal development for many years as well as pursued formal education within the psychological field. I graduated from the University of Sussex with a BSc Honours Psychology with Business and Management (summa cum laude). My degree gave me an in-depth theoretical understanding of human psychology and the way our minds work.

I furthered my studies in somatic therapy - a holistic, body-focused approach to healing relational wounds and trauma. This attachment therapy method honours the importance of our physiology. By working through unprocessed emotions and re-patterning our bodily responses, somatic therapy enables us to make powerful, lasting changes on a cellular level.

Fascinated by the wisdom of the body, I pursued an intensive post-graduate level trauma specialisation programme. This course was facilitated by world-leading trauma expert Bessel van der Kolk (author of The Body Keeps The Scoreand featured numerous renowned trauma specialists. I received comprehensive training in various treatment methods to help my clients achieve and sustain their desired outcomes.
